The 2014 Moonlight Madness Dual Sport Ride has been cancelled due to the Forest Service's concern the night ride will disturb the Willow Fly Catcher bird because it is active at night. We are looking at changing ride dates for our San Bernardino National Forest rides in the future to seasons that are less intrusive to the critters.
Big Bear Trail Riders 14th Annual Moonlight Madness Night Ride is the Ultimate Dual Sport Motorcycle Tour of the San Bernardino Mountains by Moonlight. Enjoy a mystic night of riding with great night views of Big Bear Lake. Sign-ups, Start and Finish will be at the Big Bear Convention Center located at the corner of Big Bear Blvd and Division Road. Sign Ups and check in will begin at 4:00 p.m. and all riders need to be on the trail by 6:00 p.m. The ride is approximately 100 miles.
All skill levels are welcome. Entry Fee includes course map, T Shirt and GPS tracks.
It is important that you enter your email address in the event registration form. All registrants will receive an email containing a link to the GPS tracks for the ride on the Wednesday before the ride. Please follow the link and load the GPS tracks to your GPS. We will have GPS track loading at sign ups for those riders that miss the link but there could be a delay because we will only have one computer available. Roll Charts will not be provided so if you do not have a GPS we recommend Garmain GPS Map 78 and make sure you mount it to your bike and hard wire it to your motorcycle electrical system so the GPS light will stay on throughout the ride.
Street Legal / Licensed motorcycles only and Spark Arrestors are mandatory.
We prefer you register and pay the entry fees online. You can print the BBTR 2014 Moon Light Madness Dual Sport Ride Flyer & Entry Form and mail the entry form in with your payment or turn it in at sign-up. We can not guarantee that we will have your T-Shirt size if you do not register prior to post entry date of August 3, 2014. When registering online, make sure you complete all the steps and receive a confirming e-mail from our automated website. Also, please print the Entry form above, complete it and turn it in at the event registration. Non members of Big Bear Trail Riders are charged $4.00 by our website hosting service for credit card processing. Non-Members can join Big Bear Trail Riders on-line prior to registering for the ride and save the $4.00 credit card processing fee.
